Globetrotter Television Limited is a UK based business, committed to providing the best travel and tourism programming to both online and broadcast viewers.
We work with the close co-operation of national and regional tourist boards, tourism organisations, travel partners and tourist attractions from around the world.
Our management team have a wide experience of both the broadcast and travel industries, and our award winning creative and production team are widely respected within those industries. Whilst, in line with most broadcasters, we rely on advertising and sponsorship to fund our output, our programmes remain editorially independent, with the highest standards of quality and integrity.

John Plaskett
Managing Director
John Plaskett has worked in television for over 17 years, originally a post-production specialist with a background in editing, design & motion effects. More recently John has worked as a producer…
In 2006 John was made ‘Head of Presentation’ for Sky Channels Life TV, Life 24 and Life Showcase. As a key member of the management team he was responsible for in-house advertising and channel promotions across the network, and worked closely with programme creation, acquisition and sales.
John now heads up the Globetrotter Television Team, bringing his extensive experience in broadcast management and his keen eye for entertainment, so that we always deliver programmes that will keep you wanting more.
Trevor Claringbold
Creative Director
With a media background stretching back three decades, Trevor Claringbold has a wonderfully diverse experience, and is responsible for the creation of our in-house programmes and features.
Of course, it is for travel journalism that Trevor is best known. He has travelled to more than 70 countries, and produced over 1000 features.
He has also won the Italian Tourist Board award for Best Article, and spoken as the international media representative at a United Nations World Tourism Organisation conference.
His industry knowledge, coupled with his broadcast experience, and ability to deliver the very best quality in all that he does, makes Trevor the perfect person to lead the creation of our programmes
Anca Precub
Content Producer and Social Media Manager
Anca is a passionate photographer and filmmaker. She like anything technical and she’s the person to talk to if you want to find out about the newest technologies and cameras or if you need someone to fix up your computer.
She’s a multimedia journalist graduate and interested in all forms of media. Social Media is her main passion but she’ll also happily leave the computer and explore the world as long as she’s allowed to bring her camera. She knows three languages and can easily understand a couple more if they are Latin based as she’s coming from Romania.

After presenting travel shows for the past 5 years TV Presenter & vlogger Alex Outhwaite has become a trusted voice in the travel community.
With a 1st class honours in Marketing she has built up over 80,000 avid travel fans following her on Facebook and 12k on Instagram as well as nearly 1000 subscribing to her personal travel videos on YouTube.
Alex has produced travel video content & written articles for companies such as Contiki, Expedia, FHM, Blackboard, WTM and Latam Airlines to name a few and presented shows on Property TV, Made TV, Travelxp HD as well as at variety of live events and festivals.
After winning a cooking competition judged by Masterchef’s John Torode Alex was asked to present a 20 part series around India focusing on food & travel. The show became very successful on Indian travel channel Travelxp HD and lead on to her presenting more shows including in some very difficult environments such as the Himalayas and into Kashmir.

Hayley’s TV career began after she landed a job presenting beauty features to millions of viewers on the award winning daytime show ITV This Morning.
Since then Hayley has gone from strength to strength working across property, travel, beauty, fashion and entertainment shows.
Her credits include presenting on channel 5, Channel 4, Property Search TV and QVC to name just a few. With a great media profile Hayley is regularly seen in the press and Daily mail online. Her other work includes hosting live events including The Ideal Home Show, The Luxury Property Show and The UK Blog Awards.
Also working as a social media influencer, brand ambassador and commercial model and a luxury travel and fashion journalisr for The Bespoke Black Book. Brands Hayley has presented for include Sainsbury’s, Ann Summers, House of Fraser, Holiday Extras and Boots.
Hayley joined Globetrotter TV in 2018 and jumped straight in presenting a 5 part series in Taiwan. On her next adventure Hayley travels around Southern Belgium on a cycling tour. Watch this space to see where Hayley’s travels take her next!

Mel Dizon hails from the Philippines capital, Manila, where her parents pioneered a travel agency business specialising in visa assistance. She has represented her country on many occasions as an international scholar, trainee, and delegate to the U.S., Austria, Israel, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, China, Taiwan and others.
She believes that “Tourism is a Lifestyle” and “Life is a Tour”.
Mel graduated with honours from University with a Bachelors Degree in AB-Interdisciplinary Studies, earned her MBA with academic distinction, and is currentlyworking towards her degree as Doctor of Business Administration with Tourismnovation: Edtourtainment concept as her dissertation.
Liu Batchelor

Complimenting her active side, Liu is also passionate about understanding and documenting why people do what they do, and helping them share their ideas. She established and continues to curate the TEDx talks event in her hometown, and runs her own weekly video podcast chat show called The BIG IDEAS Show.
Liu brings her experience as an advertising producer, radio presenter, sports vlogger and interviewer/host to the Globetrotter team – and has already hosted series for the Black Forest and Philippines, as well as pilot a business travel chat show.
Esme Todd

Esme Todd began her presenting journey at only 19 when she was the network weather presenter for Made Television LTD on Sky…
Virgin and Freeview. She also presented her own show on the channel called “Christmas at Home” as well as hosting the main live evening show, “The Crunch”.
Now in her 20’s, she’s presented for many well known brands such as BBC Bitesize, BBC Radio Bristol, Vodafone, The Entertainer, Holland & Barrett, Great North Run, BT/EE, Planet Eat TV, Pearson Education and Riverside Radio to name a few.
In 2020 Esme went on a 4 month trip travelling across India and Australia which was sadly cut short due to Covid. In that trip she sky dived, travelled Australian islands on a 4×4, zip lined across a fort in Jodhpur, rode a camel and rode a horse bareback into the sea.
A new addition to the Globetrotter family, she’s excited to see more countries and combine two loves – travelling and presenting!

Dan has had a passion for creating video since a very young age, then after working with great white sharks…
…for a year in South Africa, he combined it with his passion for marine life, and began a career filming underwater. Dan has been up close and personal filming many large predators such as bull sharks, American alligators, orcas & great white sharks.
As well as filming sharks, Dan also visits schools, colleges, dive clubs and other social groups speaking about understanding sharks and the role they play in the ocean, as well as how to film them without losing any fingers.
Calfyn Ap Bryn

Since joining Globetrotter, Calfyn has demonstrated a fundamental interest in arts, culture and travel.
Off the job Calfyn is known as a charismatic friend, savouring the virtues of good company, good music, and good food. His favourite sport is Rugby, having been an avid supporter of the Welsh Rugby Union since 1993.
Devon Rosenblatt

A media production graduate and self-shooter who likes to explore the world and learn of other cultures.
Devon has been experimenting with video and audio since he was young, a die-hard habit which has been the focus of his studies and career goals.
He does not like to stay in one place for long and is keen to discover new environments and experiences. He works in the field and at the editing desk, getting shots on location and putting it all together in post.

Philippines where also giant lanterns are famous, Pampanga. This pandemic made her realise that you only live once so you must grab all the opportunity and don’t be afraid to rejections and failures because those will surely make you a better person.
She loves to travel and has visited various places in the Philippines such as Mt. Taal in Batangas, Pangasinan, Bataan, Tagaytay, Bulacan, Baguio and it is very lovely and refreshing to see different tourist spots. She also dreams of travel international once this pandemic has gone, with locations such as Hong kong, New York, Canada, Japan and London on her list of must-see’s. Aside from traveling, she also loves to sing, cook, and teach children. She hopes to share all her travel experiences and her passion for cooking to the world.

Bulacan, Philippines. She is a consistent Dean’s lister and the pandemic did not stop her from pursuing her dream of training and working internationally that is why she applied as a virtual intern in UK.
She likes to travel but has not experienced air travel. She often travels from Romblon to Bulacan via ship and loves to explore her hometown, Romblon, because of its exquisitely, awesome and beautiful nature and beaches. She hopes to experience her first flight with her family going to Hawaii that is why she cannot wait until this pandemic is manageable. She also likes English Literature and wants to visit the country where William Shakespeare was born.

In her spare time, Chloe loves everything about nature and finds she is most at peace when surrounded by it. She is a keen cyclist and rock climber in training and loves to paint with acrylics; she is also proficient in hula hooping and takes her camera out on daily adventures! In her professional life, her passion comes from being able to explore her creativity and eclectic design capabilities.
Chloe has a wide range of skills – alongside working with Globetrotter, she is studying at a Forest School to improve her communication and leadership skills, whilst she has also spent time studying textiles, horticulture, photography, and social studies.
Chloe looks forward to becoming a fully integrated member of the team/family at Globetrotter and is incredibly excited for what the future may hold.
