Balicasag Island is an island famous for its amazing marine sanctuary where even beginners can enjoy snorkeling and diving. The island is situated near the Duljo point off Panglao Reef. With its white beaches and crystal-clear water, everyone loves the ambience of the island-paradise… even beginners!

Balicasag Island was developed into a resort and has been open since 1989. The island was also declared as a marine sanctuary under Presidential Proclamation No. 1801 for its abundant natural beauty, aquatic sports opportunities, tourism and marine life conservation. The proclamation was signed into law by the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos.

Today, the island resort (officially Balicasag Island Dive Resort), offers a range of water activities such as scuba diving. Full equipment hire is available for experienced divers, and scuba diving lessons are also available for less experienced divers. And there is a wealth of colourful underwater life, just metres from the beach.  

The resort also offers affordable accommodation with its native-inspired air-conditioned duplex cottages, and you can even dine in Balicasag Resort’s own restaurant.
